How to add your booking link to your Google Business Profile

When someone searches for a barber, cleaner or garage near them, Google often shows a map with local businesses before any websites. Your Google Business Profile is what appears there. Adding a booking link puts a Book button on that profile, so people can go from searching to booking without phoning you or hunting for your website.

What you need before you start

• A verified Google Business Profile. If you don’t have one yet, create it at business.google.com. Google will ask you to verify that you run the business before you can edit it.
• Your Bookuro booking link. This is the link to your booking page – the same page your Bookuro QR code opens. You can share it from the Bookuro Partner app under Setup Shop. If you can’t find it, contact us and we’ll send it to you.

Step by step

1. Open your profile. Sign in to the Google account that manages your business, then search Google for your business name, or open Google Maps and go to your profile.
2. Find the booking option. On Google Search, select Bookings. On Google Maps, select Edit profile, then Bookings.
3. Add your link. Select Add link (or Add another link if you already have one) and paste your full Bookuro booking link.
4. Save. Google may take a little time to review the change before the button shows to customers.
5. Make it your preferred link. If other booking links are showing on your profile, select Set preferred link and choose your Bookuro link, so it appears at the top marked as the business’s preferred option.

Seeing someone else’s booking link on your profile?

Sometimes other booking companies’ links appear on a profile automatically. If you didn’t add it and don’t use that company, you can ask Google to remove it from the same Bookings section (look for Remove provider). Google’s help pages explain the process if it doesn’t go straight away.

Get more from your profile

• Fill in every section: services, opening hours, the area you cover and a clear description.
• Add real photos: your work, your premises or your van.
• Ask happy customers for reviews: and reply to them. Reviews help you show up and help people choose you.
• Keep your details the same everywhere: name, phone number and address should match on Google, Bookuro and your social pages.
